About the Teacher

Elaine is an elementary and middle school teacher who has worked all over the world teaching children. About 15 years ago she decided to stop teaching and stay at home at a small horse farm in South Carolina and it was a given to get a “farm dog”. She got a Rottweiler puppy and just a couple of weeks into owning a small Rottweiler puppy realized that she needed to learn more about teaching dogs.
Even though there are similarities between teaching children and teaching dogs, the differences are clear and soon a new passion was created while she was traveling around the country to learn from some of the best dog trainers in the world. Elaine has since earned many AKC obedience titles as well as obedience titles from Europe and is currently training for IPO with her personal dogs.
All her training techniques are built on new research of dog behavior science. Elaine makes sure learning is fun and positive for the dog and handler and at the same time gives clear expectations to the dog of what is expected.
